LightBridge

Story

Joy Lewis founded LightBridge Inc. in 2016 after her son, Jordan, suffered a life-altering TBI from a car accident. Joy's son struggled with daily activities and depression, leading to suicidal thoughts.

Joy created the LightBridge app to help her son and other TBI survivors. The company believes in guiding individuals to recognize their potential, grow in confidence, and make contributions to the world despite facing unimaginable health challenges.

Solution

To create an effective mental health management app for survivors of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD, LightBridge needed to focus on the continual refinement of their vision and requirements.

The app's user interface and user experience were critical components, requiring a design that was both simple and motivating, while avoiding overwhelming users.

To achieve these goals, LightBridge's engineers worked closely with the client to develop value-added functionalities, while holding weekly meetings to ensure that the app met the client's needs.

Key objectives included creating a smooth UI/UX and adding unobtrusive features that could keep caretakers informed of their loved one's well-being without intruding on the user's life.

Security was also a top priority, with data encryption and safe storage of user data essential to maintaining the app's integrity. In addition, LightBridge needed to integrate a payment gateway to support a subscription-based business model, allowing the company to generate revenue while providing ongoing support to users.

Finally, LightBridge's engineers focused on developing a scalable app architecture, ensuring that the app could handle increasing demand and that it was flexible enough to incorporate future updates and features.

Through a combination of user-focused design, advanced security measures, and a scalable architecture, LightBridge created a mental health management app that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors of TBI and PTSD, their families, and caregivers.

Features

  • Users can choose routines such as morning, medication, lunch, therapy, and exercise, and customize them with interactive features like emojis and media. They can schedule their routines and receive reminders at the desired dates and times.

What Are People Saying?

The decision to work with a development team to turn your great concept into reality is the most important choice you will make. Walturn is a company that I can trust, one that truly partners with me and one that took on my project as if it was their own. Walturn is a team that I plan to work with going forward indefinitely. They are like having your very own technology department and are always there when you need them. I could not have reached our goal of providing a SaaS platform that helps so many people without Walturn.
