In May 2022, an article on the then recently launched Dart Frog written by Walturn caught the attention of the developer community.
Dart Frog, a revolutionary framework designed to empower developers with efficient backend development capabilities using Dart, offered a new path in the realm of server-side technology.
We took the lead in exploring the potential of Dart Frog. This case study details the collaboration between Walturn and SideGuide, an advanced course platform, to create the first-ever course on Backend with Dart, leveraging the power of Dart Frog.

The primary goal was to craft a comprehensive course that empowers Flutter developers to enhance their app development skills while also providing backend enthusiasts with a detailed introduction to server-side development.

The Walturn team undertook the challenge of crafting 11 topics that covered the essentials of backend with Dart. Each section was designed to provide a clear understanding of Dart Frog's core features, its significance in backend development, and practical skills for building real applications.
The course included detailed instructions for automated testing of server routes, middleware, user authentication, error handling, database integration, testing, and deployment using Heroku.
